Across all ages, languages, ethnicities, and subjects, teachers are some of the most all around widely skilled people. Although teaching kids their appropriate coursework is one of their main jobs, their responsibilities extend far beyond just that. In addition to teaching the coursework, they are also nurses to children who come in from recess with ouchies, they are counselors when students feel they are the only person they can talk to, and they are life coaches trying to help all of their students succeed in every aspect of life. Teachers have a way of leaving a lasting impression on their students, even when they do not realize it. They go above and beyond for everyone of their students, and Erimish sees this.
For teacher appreciation week this year, our Girl Bosses decided they wanted to do something to show support for our local schools. They went to every Seneca school and brought them donuts one morning, brought them pizza for lunch on a different day, and gave every girl teacher a free bracelet stack and every guy teacher a gift card to Sonic.
So to teachers everywhere, our world might take you for-granted, but your hard work isn’t for nothing. Your students see you, and people in your community see you. We thank you for all of your hard work each and every day.
